Recent updates
Casually rebuilt the website from the ground up, this time using 11ty instead of Jekyll. The blog is gone, in favour of the wiki-style layout of the rest of the site. There are also different top-level pages.
My .space domain rental ran out a month ago and Namecheap wanted to charge me something like a 500% increase in order to keep it for another year. I said "screw that" and now here I am at kyratech.net, with a registrar that claims to have fixed pricing. Let's see if it works out!

What am I up to?
- EXOTURBINE
- My passion, my soul. I am building an arcade style hover-racing game, inspired by WipEout and Star Wars Podracer. This is my primary time-sink outside of work right now, but even then it's very slow going.
- Xenoblade X
- I'm currently wrapping up the last chapters of the Xenoblade X port, which I never got to play back on the Wii U. It's got its problems, but I'm still loving the experience overall. I think it's interesting that you can see how Xenoblade 3 takes a lot of ideas from the side content in this one, whilst also leveraging the far superior main story from the numbered entries.
- Yakuza 0
- Poor, poor Yakuza. I made the mistake of starting it just before Xenoblade was released, and it's suffered from being put on the shelf until I finish the 120 hour JRPG. Still, what I have played so far is pretty rad! I am spectacularly bad at the baseball minigame...
