Wedding Decorations

In 2025, my sister got married to her husband. Their wedding was beach themed, in fact the wedding iself was at a coastal venue, and I was asked to provide a series of paintings that served both as table decorations and as ways of identifying the tables themselves. (So, instead of there being a "Table 5", there was "Tintagel".)

One of the paintings that I used was an edit of an older piece depicting beach huts at Hengistbury Head, but all of the others were made bespoke.

I think that this project was the first time that I used Krita for art. My sister had requested a visual style that was somewhat watercolour-adjacent, and my ususal art mainstay of Clip Studio didn't have any brushes that I thought were quite right. Adobe certainly aren't getting money from me ever again, and frankly, I was too bitter to even consider pirating Photoshop. This left Painter, ArtRage, and Krita, and I decided to go with the one that had a linux version.
